The last day of my sons work placement, dropped him off and headed to Hereford to visit a couple of friends. We are lucky to know a wonderful group that are living at a Tipi Village, though a lot of hard work; they take the challenge and are living their dream. They are a wonderful kind hearted group of people that I love dearly. It is always a pleasure to go and visit them, and today I was taking them shopping at the local supermarket and from there off to see my best friend AnneMarie who has hurt her back and I have missed seeing.
I arrived at the Tipi village to be mugged by the two dogs, who you would have thought I hadn’t seen in an age, ones a sheep dog and ones a wolf dog. The Tipi village is set on a hill, there are Tipis, obviously, and a roundhouse they built from scratch, which is an amazing house. They live in the steps of the Okota tribe. I have the greatest respect for these lovely people who are living their dream regardless of the hardships or the trials that are put their way.
After the shopping we headed to see AnneMarie who is my dearest of friends, trouble is when you are clock watching the time flies like mad, so the visit was short. The journey to fetch my son seemed endless.
I had ordered a T-shirt for my partner as a surprise, it had printed on it ‘STEP ASIDE COFFEE THIS IS A JOB FOR ALCOHOL’ it’s definitely his Friday t shirt. I placed it on the bed so he could see it when he came home to change. We make our own wine, so it’s always a pleasure at the weekend to participate on the nippy sweetie of the wine. Needles to say he loved it.
